Hi
How is it correct to say?:
You search for information on the Internet or in the Internet?
I found it on a website or in a website?
Thank you

Hi Orit, I believe it s "on" in both cases (my husband says so... native speaker).

It s on. If I m not sure if something sounds right in English I usually google the phrase in quotation marks so that it only shows web pages in which there is the exact same phrase like this: "in the internet" and if there are few or no results, it means that the phrase is not correct (pay attention to the words that are bold in the results). This is a great tool, especially when translating into English (: So, if you google "in the internet", you´ll see that it can be used, but only if there are some nouns following it, such as world, traffic archive, etc. (in the internet world, in the internet traffic archive, but on the internet, on the web page)
