InTurkey for the last two years we have had exams at the end of the year.What I mean our pupils have to enter the exams fromTurkish,MAths,Social StudiesScience and Englishat the end of the second term .This exam is for grade 6,7 and8 classes.Have you got such a widely exam including English .What kind of questions do they take and are you pleased with this situation.?As we have begun recently we were happy but because we as English teacher had thoughtevewrybody would undrestant importance of knowing at least English (just even English still )But our lesson books are so terrible we are not happy anymore .Indeed we don �t have to follow the bookleter by letter of course but you know the lesson book is more important forEnglish any other lessons.Thanks for answers from now on |

Hi epit,
In Greece at the end of the school year students in both junior and senior high schools take exams on almost all the subjects they were taught during the school year. The questions are set by the teachers who teach the same subject to each grade.
Apart from their school exams, senior high school students who are in their last year take university entrance exams on certain subjects depending on what they wish to study. The questions in these exams are the same for all students all over the country. An English exam is only taken by students who want to be English teachers or follow a career in tourism or the media.
