software to convert audio into text- any hint?

hi everybody, I need your help.

Do you, guys, know any software to convert audio into text? I searched the net but I just find tools to convert text into audio, not the opposite...

I appreciate any hint.

Here I found a FREE converter http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Misc__Sound_Tools/Free_Audio_Converter_2009.html

But they, probably, won�t do!

From what I have seen on the web, it looks like it would be next to impossible to find audio-to-text converter software for free. This must be a profitable business, and there are many offers where transcribing of the audio files is done by a person.

Good luck in finding the �wonder-machine�!

Excuse my ignorance but why would you want to (for what purpose and how will you use it) convert an audio file to text?

Try using DICTATION 2005. It is shareware, but they allow you to use it as an evaluation mode.
I �ll keep looking for a freeware one!
