Hi cheezels,
The "payed" in question is not the past tense of "pay" as in owe money. It is the past of "to let out a cable or line... to slacken" as my dictionary here says.

Hey Zora.... When I have looked online for definitions many sites list Payed as the correct term when talking about the past tense of pay. I only have really noticed this recently as it has popped up a few times....I have never used it myself though....

actually having or not having a husband does not necessarily reflect on how lonely she is...One can be very lonely despite a husband or have a bubbling social life without a husband...... Hi Hi ;) |
