Hello everyone! I m just writing a short text for my next ws and I m not sure if the sentence I have is correct:
My brother and I put stockings by our beds for presents. or should it be: Me and my brother put...
Is there any difference between the sentences.
Thanks in advance! Agnieszka

the first variant is more correct, "I" should be moved on the second place

Both sound ok to me. Maybe include "we" on the second one?:
Me and my brother we put...
What do you think? |

My brother and I is the correct version. The trick to being able to tell is to take out one of the pronouns in the subject and try using each pronoun individually to see if the sentence makes sense.
My brother put stockings by our bed for Christmas. (Sentence is correct when you take out the I and use just "brother") I put stockings by our bed for Christmas. (Sentence is correct when you take out brother and just use "I") Me put stockings by our bed. (You can see that the use of "me" in this sentence is incorrect. Therefore it would be wrong to use my brother and me in this particular sentence.
