PPS CAN be edited. They �re more convenient as they are compressed. You have to install OpenOffice (free, GNU) and edit them with Impress (Powerpoint equivalent) and later save as Powerpoint PPT. But I guess the site admins already know this. Don �t you?. There must be some drawback for this.

You don �t even need to install open office--just change the file extension to ppt. Then you can edit.
