Hi collegues from all over the world: Please what is the difference between the containers CAN and TIN I used to think that can was for the one you could open without a tin opener, but I am not sure anymore maybe the first one is American E? and the other one is British E ? wHAT DO YOU SAY?

I think the full name is tin can .. tin is the original material and can is the object ..
also that there is no difference in either American E or British E ... both tin of peas and can of peas can be used interchangeably

Hello Claudini,
I guess you are right when you say the difference is the kind of English. (American English and British English)
I check the cambridge dictionary about that.
