Chorus Festival or Choral Festival

Dearest Teachers ,
I am quite confused of the appropriate term to be used regarding the singing activities held in school which was in group/per class . Which is the right term: Chorus Festival or Choral festival? Pls do enlighten me . Thank you. |

It really depends on personal preference as they both are concerts/festivals for groups of singers.
I like Choral Festival because a chorus can also be many more things besides being a group of singers. choral , however, generally only means something that is sung or performed by a chorus or choir.
I m teaching music this year & have recommended we call our singing festival a choral festival because of this distinction.

It is usually called a Choral festival. You sing in a choir but have choral concerts. A chorus is also part of a piece of music, often the B-part that comes again and again.
