Do you know what´s happening in the Valencian Community ( Spain) ?

In Spain , each region has its own educational regulations.  In our regionTHE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY, English teachers have been forced to teach a subject  (  Education for Citizenship and Human Rights)  in English , to 13 year old students who hardly understand oral English. Besides, a second teacher, the specialist in history or philosophy has to be in the classroom to guarantee that the contents that the English teacher transmits are accurate. Why is it happening?? . The Subject Education for Citizenship was introduced by the Spanish government. Since our regional government disagrees with the need of teaching this subject, they have decided to use the English teachers to boycott the subject. If we teach this subject in English to students who dont understand English, who will understand anything? . It sounds ridiculous BUT IT IS HAPPENING. Luckily a general strike against this absurd situation is expected to take place next month. I just want to inform you about this, IF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND ANYTHING because it is uncomprehensible.

I know very well whats happening in Valencian region with education for citizenship. Its ridiculous and really a shame that they use teachers and students for political purposes. When politicians start thinking about teachers and, above all, students the educational system will be better in Spain. 29th november, big demonstration in Valencia, against this silly measure and in favour of public education.
