Hi everybody ! I �m studying time with my students and I �ve a doubt. I used to say "It �s a quarter past..." but can we also say "quarter past..." without "a" before "quarter"?

Hi! I think that �a quarter past... � is gramatically correct, but in speech both versionas are used; the one without �a � is even more common.
