Headway intermediate 4th edition has an (awful) adaptation of Romeo and Juliet near the end. But to be honest I don t think that play is much without the language and poetry, his other plays have much better plots.

There are some poems and sonnets which don t require any adaptation for intermediate sts
This poem is easy to understand
Crabbed Age and Youth
Cannot live together:
Youth is full of pleasance,
Age is full of care,
Youth like summer morn,
Age like winter weather,
Youth like summer brave,
Age like winter bare,
Youth is full of sport,
Ages breath is short,
Youth is nimble Age is lame
Youth is hot and bold.
Age is weak and cold;
Youth is wild and Age is tame
Youth, I do adore, thee.
I have my own textbook with a unit on Shakespeare (it s probably not perfect, but I used it to teach Shakespeare) |

If you want, Charles and Mary Lamb have really useful Shakespeare s Tales (retold plays as stories...
It s not Shakespeare s actual language but I find it extremely useful....
