Overhaul at work - correct or not?
|
Can I say "we had a bit of an overhaul at work" meaning we had very very much of work to do? |

To me an "overhaul" means redoing something. So an "overhaul at work" makes me think that there was a reorganization of administration or curriculum or structure. |

Yes, Dear Lana, Kmtr is correct. "Overhaul" means to redo something in order to improve it.

Lana, I think you want the word "overload". The confusion probably came from the fact that a "load" is something that you "haul."
