I more-or-less agree with Denisa, with really slight changes...
More salt is added to the solution./ More salt keeps being added to the solution. Movies are screened in a place called cinema./ Cinema is a place where movies are screened. Can you explain how glass is made?(the passive part is an indirect question, so there s no inversion in word order)
He keeps on adding more salt to the solution. THE BLUE SECTION IS OBJECT,
SO THE PASSIVE WILL SOUND SOMETHING LIKE THIS : adding more salt to the solution is kept on, you cannot say by him because the subject is unkown, but don t you see that that the whole passive construction is silly stylistically speaking
I m sorry but sentence 1 "He keeps on
adding more salt to the solution." cannot be changed into the passive!! The suggested transformations: a.More salt is being added to the solution. b. More salt is added(by him) to the
solution. don t have the same meaning as : "He keeps on
adding more salt to the solution." Here "keeps on has the meaning of continues to add... The other suggested transformations don t have any meaning.
