PROBLEMS RESIZING PICTURES. PLEASE HELP!!!!

HELLO MY DEAR COLLEGUES, I �M TRYING TO UPLOAD A SONG AND I WANTED TO INCLUDE 2 SMALL PICTURES TO MAKE IT MORE ATTRACTIVE. MY PROBLEM IS THAT IF I SAVE IT AS.DOCX IT �S 292KB BUT, WHEN I TRY TO SAVE IT AS .DOC IT �S 1.5 MB. WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE IT 300KB????? PLEASE I �VE REALLY TRIED EVERYTHING I KNEW ABOUT RESIZING PICS.

This is what Zailda kindly taught me and it works for me :
1) resize your picture to the size you want it
2) press control and x to cut your picture from the document
3) go to edit, special paste and choose a picture file e.g. gif or png or jpeg
when you resave your file and look at the file properties you should notice it �s a lot smaller.
