How do you say in Spanish....
|
"I m sorry but I m not taking on any more students at the moment"
Can anyone help me translate this into Spanish? I m not so sure I should use "coger" for "take on".
Thanks in advance
PS. If you could PM me that would be great, so as not to take up room on this forum.

"Lo siento pero no acepto ms estudiantes en este momento"
"Cojo" can be also used. |

"Lo lamento, no estoy tomando alumnos en este momento" I would also say.

Lo lamento pero no recibo/acepto ms alumnos por el momento
I wouldnt use the verb "coger" because in Argentina and other latin Anerican countries it would become a taboo word, that is to say, it would have an absolutely different meaning with a sexual connotation |

I Spain we d use "cojer", as Amparo said. But damielle is right about the sexual connotations, so "acepto" may be the best option. |

Thanks everybody for your help. Yes, I was rather reluctant to use "coger" because of the double entendre.
Have a great week all

Instead acepto you can also use admito. "No admito ms estudiantes por el momento" |
