Dear ESL colleagues,
I have a doubt: is it appropriate to say "this academic programme offers you solid training/education?" Is solid the most adequate adjective?
Thanks in advance :-D |

I think solid collocates fine here, while specificity that the education is not unreliable is quite odd.. unless schools in the area are renowned for being unreliable for example.
Concrete would maybe work better if by solid you meant "Practical" it really does depend on what you re trying to say.

Here in the US, it is pretty common to hear "solid" used with education.

As a native english speaker, I can say that "solid" is frequently used in describing training and/or education. Your statement is perfectly correct and descriptive. A solid education gives one a solid footing in life. :) |

You could also say," comprehensive or in-depth education."
