I�m using a book in which the song for the past simple is LA ISLA BONITA (Madonna). It�s a nice song. I can send you the lyrics and exercises if you want.

Why don�t you use "Do you remember -By  Jack Johnson" It�s easy and good for adults. I used with my adult group and it was perfect. I�m not so sure but I think I have uploaded the worsheet I prepared for my students. check it out!

Hello!
 
Besides the great songs already suggested, you can also use "Because you loved me", from the movie "Up close and personal". Celine Dion sings it, and if I�m not mistaken, this song was nominated as Best Original Song in 1996.
 
It�s a great song to review the past tense of regular and irregular verbs! You can get the lyrics here:
