I took my students for a walk around the playground and then around town.
and there are lots and lots of worksheets here about giving directions.

I did a treasure hunt in my school. It was also a great way to review prepositions. I informed all the teachers and staff that my students would be walking around in the school and to send back to the classroom anyone who would not be quiet or not whispering. It worked really well.
