I�m looking for an activity to practise modals in the past with my upper-intermediate class.

Are you talking about "Perfect Modals" - like "He should have talked to me"??  because modals don�t exactly have tenses per say...

Yes, I�m talking about the use of �should have� must have� might have etc. which can be used in the past, whereas some modals don�t have a past form
