							| What īs for breakfast?
 |
							| Hello, dear friends! I hope you are fine. I need your help again. Yesterday I started a new topic with my students "Morning routine" and among the other things we talked about their breakfast. And they were eager to know  what children from different countries usually have for breakfast. I promissed them to ask you in the forum. Please, we need your help! Thanks in advance and have a nice day!    Larisa | 31 Mar 2010

							| Hi larisa! Here in Argentina we drink milk or tea or mate! But children generally don īt drink mate, and they may have milk or tea, generally with a slice of bread or cookies or toasts.   Hope it helps, kisses | 31 Mar 2010

							| Hi Larisa,   Here in Japan the traditional breakfast is rice with miso soup. Cereal is sold in the supermarkets,so I presume some people eat that too, but certainly here in the countryside most people I know have rice with miso soup.   I would imagine that is not the case in the cities, certainly amongst the younger generation, though I īm not sure.   Hugs from Japan Julia | 31 Mar 2010

							| Hi,
In Hungary the typical morning drink is coffee with milk and sugar or tea with lemon and sugar.

We usually have a sandwich with salami or other type of cold meat and vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, leek, radish.

Eggs are also popular such as scrambled eggs or boiled eggs.

And in the last 20 years cereals have become popular.

 Hope, it was useful.

 Viki

							| Wow..... We have a rich breakfast as we think it is the most important meal of the day! After breakfast we burn most of the calories so......let it be..... fat! Bread(not necessary toast- we prefer white bread) with: cheese, salami, jam, pate : omelet or boiled eggs, sausages (cremwurst).     Some kids also eat cereals with milk...but it īs something new here.
we drink milk and tea. Or coffee.  Hugs from Romania,

							| My friend is a dietitian  and she almost had a fit reading about all the sugar and white bread eaten for breakfast around the world. No wonder there is a diabetes, overweight and cholesterol problem in the world today.

She said the healthiest breakfast should be the following:

dark bread or toast (wheat or rye)
 light cheese
 porridge or muesli
 fruit
tea or coffee, juice or non-fat milk
 cereals without sugar
and an egg - but  only twice a week.
