Ok a little puzzle:
Ill take the dog for a walk.
Me, too.
Does this mean:
a. Ill take the dog for a walk as well
Or
b. Take me, too, for a walk?
Whilst most people would go for a, I have to select b and stand by my remark that Me too is grammatically inaccurate. It is undoubtedly now so common in speech that it has become idiomatic, but it is incorrect in formal writing. Think of it as in this example:
I want to go to Australia.
Me, too. i.e. Me (too) wants to go to Australia.
Sorry I havent got my Swan to hand to check.
By the way, I say Me, too, all the time!
Hope this helps.
