Revision ideas

Dear all,
It s half semester in my school so I need to do some revisions and tests. That s why I thought it s a good reason to share some revision ideas. For me, especially revising grammar is problematic as it s hard to make it fun and interesting. So, here are some of my favourites. I ll be more than happy to read yours.
Take care, Marta
VOCABULARY
"Slap"game Ask students to write down some words on small pieces of paper. 1 word on 1 piece of paper. Then, a student says a definition. The rest of the group has to guess which word is being described. When one knows he/she needs to touch the word and say "slap". No "slap", no point. They can get another point if they can create a sentence with this word. Students really enjoy this game :)
Kids version of the game Write some words on the board. Students play in two teams. Arrange them in two lines. Give a fly swatter to the first student in both teams. You show them a flashcard representing one of the words from the board. Students race to swat the word.
GRAMMAR
Grammar casino Prepare a list of 10 sentences with mistakes/questions/sentences with gaps, etc. Tell the students that they have e.g. $200. They need to answer the questions and bet some money on each sentence, even if they don t know. If they are correct they win twice as much, if they are wrong they lose the money.
Hope you find my ideas useful :)
