I agree with liz.
�I �ve booked a lovely hotel in Spain in the summer. I �m going to stay there for a week. �
�I �m so excited about visiting my friend in Spain. I �m going to stay there in a week. �
Truthfully the first is more common. The second use would be more common in sentences such as:
�In a week, I �ll be in Spain. �
�I �m hoping to hear news about the job in a week. �
