I�m trying to explain a game and one sentence should be something like this:One team is thieves and the other is policemen. Is it OK or should I use are instead of is? Thanks a lot for your help.

I would say: the first team CONSISTS OF policemen and the other consists of thieves:-)

How about - one team is a policeman and the other is a thief. The teams will be acting as one, not so? |
