Hello everybody!!
Summer holidays are just round the corner in Spain and I wanted my students to read some poetry in English. Some of them will be going to a different school next year so I d like them to read a poem in front of an audience on the last day of term.
The thing is that I like a poem by Whitman but I only know the Spanish translation.
"No te detengas
No dejes que termine el da sin haber crecido un poco, sin haber sido feliz, sin haber aumentado tus sueos (...)"
( It s about the importance of dreaming and that we all can make a change ... )
Could anybody tell me what the original version is, please? I d be really thankful.
Nice week!!

Hi,
According to this website, it s incorrectly attributed to Whitman:

Dear Bjones! I can t answer yr question, as I don t knoe the poem you are looking for. But I like Whiteman s poetry very much and want to share my favourite one with you. My sts recited it with pleasure because there s an event in the poem and it s very important for the actors to perform | | | |
