How do you say in English a group formed by both girls and boys? a mixed gender group? a mixed group?

If it s for mixed boys and girls in education it would be coed short form for coeducation.
When I went to camp and it was mixed with boys and girls it was called a coed camp.

In British English, co-ed (-ucational) is still considered an Americanism. Mixed is more likely to be used - if it needs to be used at all. Some primary schools often use the expression Mixed Infants.

We would say "a mixed group" in the US, too, so that s an excellent answer.
