Writing questions
|
Hi everyone!
I am really ashamed for what Im going to ask today... but I got really confused when correcting these questions...
My sts had to make questions where the answer is the underlined word...
I got really confused, maybe it is because Ive read them so many times that I am doubting of my own corrections!!! (so embarrasing!)
So... there they go:
1) JULIA invited me to the theatre.
2) Silvia phoned CLARA yesterday.
3) Mathew webt shopping with KAREN.
Thanks in advance! A lot!

Hello Paola ;)
1) Who invited you to the theater ?
2) Who did Silvia phone yesterday ? I would use "call" instead of phone
3)Who did mathew go shopping with?
I hope I ll get a good mark !!! LOL
Best thoughts to you,

Paola don t be ashamed, please. This happens to me all the time and I always consult my peers at school. Let s see if I can help you. 1. Who invited you to the theatre? 2. Who did Silvia phone yesterday? 3. Who did Mathew go shopping with?
I hope they are ok. Kisses Naty |

Hello, I hope I m understanding your question correctly. Are you making questions from each sentence where the answer is the underlined word? If so, then I would write:
1. Who invited me to the theatre? (Julia) 2. Who did Silvia phone yesterday? (Clara) 3. With whom did Matthew go shopping? (Karen)
I hope this answers your question.

The last answer sounds OK, too...
Is there any difference between:
"Who did Mathew go shopping with?" and " Who went shopping with Mathew?" ???
It sounds as if they are both possible... :S

1. Who invited you to the theater? 2. Who did Silvia phone yesterday? 3. Who did Matthew go shopping with? I think if the question was :" Who went shopping with Mathew?", the answer would have to be something like "Karen did." or "Karen went shopping with Mathew.", but, still, that question sounds like a possible correct answer, too.
