looking for a song or video on the subject of food
|
Hello all you wonderful people,
I am looking for a song which connects somehow to the subject of food. My students are 11 years old (but consider themselves teenagers big time) so nothing too childish.
I would also be interested a short video connected to food (preferably funny).
If I m already asking for your help, maybe you know about a good song for present simple? (I did obla di obla da but would love something contemporary)
Thanks in advance for your ideas,
Marion
ps. I am also looking to enlarge my waiter waiter joke collection.... |

Hello dear friend. I think that a great video to introduce food is Mr. Bean. I use a video called The Return of Mr. Bean (chapter 2) which shows Mr Bean in a restaurant ordering a meal. As you know Mr Bean doen t talk much but you can elicit the vocabulary afterwards. My students just love it and they laugh a lot too! I hope it helps. Love Naty |

chus, thanks for your ideas, I ll check the songs later. I watched the video and found it a little sad, no? the punch line at the very end doesn t seem to be too appropriate for primary school
Victoria, thank you for the links. For now I looked thru the waiter jokes, thanks, I ll check the songs later.
Cacucacu, Mr. bean might be a good idea, I ll look for it on you tube later. All this talk about food reminded me I am supposed to make dinner for my family! |

Lindax, you wrote while I was replying but thank you as well of course, I ll check out all the links soon!
Douglas, I know the weird al video. It is great indeed! My kids are getting to know some of the classics thru Weird Al, they watch the parody first and only later the original... :)
(I also love his parody on Like a virgin - from madonna) |
