In France this game is called "1,2,3, soleil"
Kids play also at a game called "Marelle"
You start from the earth "Terre" You need a small stone which you throw on the number one.
You jump over it to go on the 2 ... up to 7/8 and back ... on one foot. When you are on the 2 you pick up the stone and jump over 1 up to earth.
After that an other child does the same. Next you throw the stone on 2, jump on 1, skip 2, jump on 3 and back ... etc. Until you reach the sky "ciel"
Your stone must be inside the squares. If the stone eats over, you must start over. Same thing if the stone lands out of it.

how games resemble each other! We play Marelle in Germany too. We call it heaven and hell!
