HI FRIENDS,
I have a question that someone asked me.
Is there any other word for a person who is addicted to study besides "nerd" or "geek"???
Thanks for your help!!!

Hello Mirelli!
I know two expressions beside the ones that you provided. These are: swot (BrE; slang), and grind, which is the US version of swot. ;) Have a nice day, bonita!
Cheers! Ditku

Geek and Nerd are not usually used for people who like to study, but more for one-track-minded people - often out of touch with the world around them and not fashion conscious either. Today it also means someone who is almost fanatic with something - such as computers or something else academic . But many Gamers are also called geeks. (not a nice word)
People who like to study and read are often called bookworms.
