							| Adding audio or video files to a .ppt presentation
 |
							| I have a problem: can anyone help me? When I add an audio or a video from a file to my PowerPoint presentations, then the presentation works only if that file is attached to the presentation. I usually create a folder containing the .ppt presentation and the files for audios and videos used in that presentation. This way the presentation works. BUT... how can I have my presentation work without that attached files? I mean, if I want to upload that presentation on this site, then the audios and videos dont work, because it cannot find the related files... and it is not possible to upload the entire folder with the .ppt and the files. Is there a different way to add a video to a presentation so that it works without attached files? | 27 Nov 2008

							| I think a quick answer to your question is simply you cant.  There are some sounds that are generic to PowerPoint, like swishes and whistles, but embedded videos, flash and other sounds require an alternative file.  As far as I am aware, the only files that this site can accept are Word documents (.doc) and PowerPoints (.ppt).   People have asked in the past about uploading .pdf files and I think the general answer is because of space and technical difficulties, only the two previous formats are acceptable.   As far as I am aware the only solution to this would be to give your e-mail or offer through private messenger for anyone who downloads your presentation to contact you and then you can send them the relevant files via personal e-mail.   If anyone can suggest anything else, I would be more than interested. | 27 Nov 2008

							| Very simply you can use WAV.files as well as Mp3 files provided you are using a correct converter which allows to compress both formats even further and then add it to the ppt.   there is a very good converter that I use it is called: ACE Converter   check it out. | 14 Dec 2008
