I �m gonna start a project to teach english to deprived children. However, I �m not so experienced, so I �d like some tips, like:

* what to bring in the first day (what to teach)

* what book should I addopt?

All of them have never studied english and they are 7 to 12 years-old.

Take lots of flash cards and music is important to warm up. try bussongs.com they have lots of good songs for kids. I �m not sure if pearson longman publish SKY STARTER in Portuguese but if they do that is an excellent book to teach from. I taught English to El Salvadorian children in New York and it was one of the most rewarding things I ever did. Good luck!
