Would you please help me

Dear Friends,

I feel a bit silly asking for help but may I ask you to correct my answers. Im a little confused. The task is to change the sentences according to the prompt in brackets.

1) Was there a problem? (Present Perfect)

Has there been a problem?

2) Are there any restaurants open? (Future Simple)

Will be there any restaurants open?

3) There will be a tornado in Kansas. (Present Perfect, negative)

There hasnt been a tornado in Kansas.

4) Is there a text today? (Future Simple)

Will be there a text tomorrow?

5) There isnt a road here. (Past Simple, question)

Wasnt there a road here?

6) Are there any winners? (Future Simple, negative)

Wont be there any winners?

Thanks in advance.

My suggestion:

1) Was there a problem? (Present Perfect)

Has there been a problem?

2) Are there any restaurants open? (Future Simple)

Will THERE BE  any restaurants open?

3) There will be a tornado in Kansas. (Present Perfect, negative)

There hasnt been a tornado in Kansas.

4) Is there a text today? (Future Simple)

Will THERE BE a text tomorrow?

5) There isnt a road here. (Past Simple, question)

Wasnt there a road here?

6) Are there any winners? (Future Simple, negative)

Wont THERE BE any winners?

The rest seems fine to me. If I m wrong, please correct me.

So actually, you only have ONE mistake there. :)

I also agree with Minka, but I have a suggestion on #5:

Another possibility is "Was there a road here?", since the prompt didn t specify negative. The answers didn t necessarily have the same form as the given sentences.

I also agree with the above corrections.

I m not sure what the meaning of number 4 is? Was it supposed to be test instead of text ? Is there a text today and Will there be a text tomorrow don t really make much sense!

Dear Lindsey,
Maybe you are right but originally it was
text .
Thanks a lot for suggestion.

Text could be used in the sense of a Bible passage, or piece of writing for study.
