							| OK, I remember pip is a disease in poultry (in Dutch at least ;) so liripip would probably refer to the state in which a chicken finds itself when it confuses itself with a songbird due to an overdose of medication........ no? | 3 Sep 2010

							| A special machine for making lollipops which are extremely colourful on the outside and have dark chocolate hidden inside, and they sense if you like them, so they don t get spent, but grow back... Oh yes, and they re completely healthy, non-fattening and good for your teeth... | 3 Sep 2010

							| "Liri" comes from "lyrics" and "pip" from the word "pipe", so it s a type of singing bird that knows the lyrics of a lot of pip ... um ... pop songs and pipes them all day long. | 3 Sep 2010

							| okay, I agree with Silke: "Liri" comes from "lyrics" and "pip" from the word "pipe" but I think that it s a smoking pipe that instead of making you cough makes you a better singer!!!

							| oh, yet another word of Greek origin..... "Liri" which in Greek means a rooster s comb (that red fleshy thingy on the rooster s head!) + "pip" which is the now obsolete irregular past form of the verb "to pop" -> liripop = a very nasty chicken disease in which the rooster s comb pops for no apparent reason!!!
 Although I really liked Zora s definition, too | 3 Sep 2010

							| The colloquialism gives youthe pip = you find it a bit annoying. Liri is from Lira /money   So liripip is what you feel when you open your wallet and discover there s not as much money in there as you thought. | 3 Sep 2010
