Hi, dear friends.
Help me to choose the correct tense, please. 1) Which of the tenses should be used to describe thoughts and states, with focus on them and not on the activities? (Present Simple?) 2) Which of the tenses describes a situation which is in the process of changing? (?) 3) Which of the tenses is used for fixed arrangements in the near future? (Present Continuous?)
Thanks in advance.

I agree with Kate, too, but I think the past perfect continuous might also work for #2.
It has been raining, but I think it will end soon. (changing)
I have been working at a restaurant, but I might quit.
I think that situation #2 isn t very clear and it could mean the simple past, the present continuous, as Kate suggested, or my suggestion above.
