Where īs the mistake?

Hello, everyone!
Please help me with the following statement: Her new boyfriend is absolutely nice; she īs very lucky. What mistake does this statement have?
Thanks in advance! |

I can īt see any obvious mistake; the only thing is that I wouldn īt use nice with absolutely; i would rather use a word with a stronger meaning such as absolutely gorgeous; but i īm not absolutely certain I īm right:)

I agree with Isabelle - absolutely does not go with nice. It īs not a strong enough word.
He īs absolutely wonderful is better.

me too, unless cynical as in " he is absolutely ... uh, uhm......nice" it sounds wrong to use absolutely and nice together.
It sounds a lot better with indeed gorgeous or wonderful. Fabulous or amazing, or breathtaking or even sweet might work as well ...
(but then the sentence might not make sense in the sense that such guys might not exist... ) |
