I īve noticed some people sending good wishes for Teacher īs Day and a question popped into my mind. In Brazil, Teacher īs Day is celebrated on October 15. Is it an international date? When is it celebrated in your country?

Hello,
at Portugal we celebrate Teacher īs day on October 5.... well... TOMORROW!
BTW, tomorrow, we don īt have classes!!! No.... it isn īt because of teacher īs day but because tomorrow we celebrate Implantaįão da Republica.

Hi! In Portugal it īs celebrated on October 5th. It īs also a National holiday " Republic Day" so we don īt teach tomorrow. Good teacher īs Day!

Yes, Teachers need to be given the respect they deserve. In South Africa, majority of the teachers were on strike cause we are not well paid. Yet, politicians have housing, car , travelling allowances and many more!!!! In our country teachers and other public servants only have a mere R500 housing allowance but our housing bonds are +R4000. What a shame!!! We teach classess with more than 45 kids.We don īt feel happy to be called a teachers anymore!!!!!!
