Hi,
Can u tell me if this objective behaviour is right:
The student will use this or that correctly ??? ( edit correct hat to that )
Can we use the verb use in the objective behaviour ??
Thanks :)

The sentence sounds a bit odd, but that is because wear is the verb that would be used here.
The student will wear this hat correctly.
I use this wide brimmed hat to keep off the sun.
But if it is a school rule I would say: Students must wear their hats correctly.
You can use the verb use in this way:
Students must use the tools correctly.
He uses the sharp knife very carefully.
Dont get too friendly with her or shell just use you. (Take advantage, let you pay for everything) |

The sentence you give is rather nonsensical. There is basically nothing much you can do correctly - or incorrectly - with a hat. Btw, whats the context?
You could possibly put it on correctly, or wear or wash it correctly, but even that seems a bit contrived (not natural language).
BTW, objective behaviour is not really English. What exactly do you mean? I can only guess its the right verb that goes with this direct object.

The student will use the ......thing... correctly. This is correct but it depends on the context and the thing being used. This sentence doesn t stand alone very well.
The student will use the thing correctly if he is taught how. (This is better)
If it is clothes, the verb wear is the one to use.
I m not sure what meaning you want in your sentence.
I have to go now- I m in a hurry, but please ask more questions if you need more help with this. |
