If you want to describe a suite of software used for graphic design then it is

No dawnmain, what I mean is an occupation; a designer or let me say a packaging designer but I would also like to include the word graphic because it is important inasmuch as he is a graphic designer of packages not the designer of the packages themselves.
I hope I am clear.

What exactly is the difference between a graphic designer of packages as opposed to the �designer of the packages themselves �? Apart from the word �graphic�, of course. Do you mean as opposed to the person who invented the packaging? I�m assuming here that whoever designed the original packages (�packaging�?) must have represented them graphically to start with and your hypothetical designer then makes them �marketable�. In which case, he is simply a �graphic designer� (who specializes in packaging).
Give us an example of what he �designs� and maybe the options can be narrowed.
