We call it Veterans � Day in the USA. We remember the men and women who serve and served in the military. I �m an ignorant American; I didn �t know other countries celebrated it as well. It �s actually one of our few holidays that doesn �t get moved to Monday so that workers get a three-day weekend. Thanks for the new-to-me information! |

God, I love the poem "In Flander�s Field". It �s so very, very touching and always manages to choke me up a bit... We used to recite it in school every Remembrance Day when I was a young girl.
