I should video it and upload for people - it is actually really simple - more so than it seems from original instructions here try this (sorry!)
Just write this on the board:
TALKING TOWERS
Tallest tower wins!
Talk for 10 seconds get 1 second to build (60 seconds = 6 seconds)
I STOP the watch when your group:
- talks in Spanish
- stops talking for 2 seconds
- Makes 3 thinking sounds.
NOW
Give each group a conversation card.
First Groups turn - Ready Steady Talk (You click Go on your stopwatch)
As soon as they break the rules above shout stop (You STOP the stopwatch)
Now work out how many seconds they have to build (Maybe 1 or 2 or 3 etc)
You say - On your marks, Get SEt, GO! Then time them and shout STOP.
now it is the next groups turn (make sure you give the first group a new card for them to prepare for their next turn.
Is that easier???
