I need some help with PPT

I m struggling with embedding of a video file (avi) in my ppt. Somehow the sound is there but the animation doesn t show, instead there is the standard colorgram or whatever that is called with moving circles and blah-blah-blah... Experts, please any suggestions. Sophia |

What do you mean? I m not a power user just a regular one. I d like my ppt to have a video. What should I do? It s not a ppt for the site it s for my demonstration lesson. Sophia |

Hi Sophia
I m a Mac user, so, if you work with a PC, this can slightly different, but it can be done.
Just go to INSERT and choose the option MOVIE ( or video , or something like that ); a browser window will pop up, just look for the video you want to insert. That easy. LOL
Good luck Linda

That s exactly what I did, Linda, but as I said only the sound from the video plays but not the animation... Sophia |

Oh, so sorry, may be the format? I work with quick time and it never let me down. I ve just tried, opened a new ppt file, two or three empty slides and then the 4th, I inserted the video, no problem.
I m sorry, but there isn t much I can do. May be someone can help, let s wait.

ppt will not embed videos what you can do is make a folder for your ppt and put the video and the ppt in the same folder. then do what you normaly do when trying to embedd. that way if you move the ppt to a different cpu or pendrive they will be together. another way is to convert the video into a flash object, that can be embedded but of course the size will be huge. |

Thanks, Baiba, but I work with office 2003
2 Lisa: you know, theres an option in ppt that does allow you to insert video files, its just the formats or codecs Im struggling with. Sophia |
