oral exams

I wanted to ask for your help regarding a new type of examination my headmastrer wants to introduce in our school.
This year the final classes (grade 7th) have been divided into two groups of different levels: elementary and intermediate. The reason for this was to work with smaller groups and to improve their speaking and listening abilities.
EmbarrassedThe school needed two more teachers to carry out this project, therefore the headmaster needs to justify the expenses with tangible results which he seems to think can be proved only by an oral (and maybe listening) examination (I wanted to point out that some of these students will be taking the KET in May 2011) and he wants the teachers to write the test, establish the date and modalities and then to evaluate the results.
I need to come up with some ideas for the test and I also need an evaluation grid that the teachers can follow.
Can you help me with some useful ideas, tests, or websites?Ermm
Thanks a lot ....!!!!Smile
