Would we rather have ws with no answer keys than the key in a separate document? What if the key doesn t fit into the document anymore, for whatever reason, not everyone is a compression genius ...

Dear Blunderbuster- Regina,
there is no need of space - retype those 30 words and that s that!
no need of fancy keys... the list of words is ok!

The uploader also can write the key in the description or comments of the worksheet.
In case of crosswords, the key may be retyped - just a list of words would do... (Down: 1. Apple, 2. banana ...)

There are no more than 30-40 words in a crossword, so it takes 1 minute to retype the key...

I always include an answer key within  the document, and it has never taken up more than a couple kb - I don t see any fuss in the new rule at all. It might help if the date was listed with the rule, so that older documents aren t unfairly punished for a rule which hadn t existed when they uploaded their document.

I agree with MORAVC. The answer key shouldnt have artistic elements, it can only be typed, like we see in the end of some books. Like this, it will always fit in the original documents.

Hi victor! I agree with you 100%. When I registered, 2 years ago, I myself uploaded some (4 or 5) keys separately because I really did not know how to resize images. Now, with so many tutorials available "for free", there is indeed no reason for that. Besides, the key doesn t have to include images. We may remove them if necessary.

Have a nice day,
mena

What if the key is an image like the ones that eclipse gives you?...I am just saying.....If we were all able to use English or computers the same way, there would not be a difference of 400+ downloads between everyday s printables ;o)

If  (and it s a big if) my key takes too much space, I ll just offer it through email to those who want it.
