Help with the translation of a portuguese expression

Hi everyone..
This message is particularly addressed to all portuguese speaking users. How would you translate the expression "entrar com o p direito" into English??
Thanks in advance.

you could probably say:

"off on the right foot (with someone or something) and *off to a good start (with someone or something)
Fig. starting out correctly; beginning something carefully and cautiously. (*Typically: be ~; get ~.) This time, I want to get off on the right foot with him. I tried to get off to a good start with my new job.

i m not sure if that s what you re looking for!?

Well, I m not a Portuguese speaker, but it s quite similar to Spanish.

It s translation is:

Start/ get off on the right foot

In case somebody don t know it s meaning; it s use when you start a relationship well.

and get off to a good start (= begin well)
