Dear Lisa.. thanks so much for your post. You see, I was about to purchase that printer (brother) mainly because you can buy ink from the internet and refill the cartridges by yourself. But I was afraid since I �ve never heard about it... and now with your recommendation, I �m definitely going to buy it.

I used to have Cannon inkJet, it had really small cartridges and even the compatible no-names cost me about 5$ each and I had to buy it every month... 60-70$ a year.
Now I have HP LaserJet and I buy the cartridge once in 18 months. The noname refill costs about 50$. No problems so far. But I often print the text in DARK grey, rather than pitch black.
