Hi all,
Some people asked why their contributions were reported and they got replies from those people who voted their work to be reported. If so, I �d like to know why my 2011 CALENDAR has been reported. What rules doesn �t it follow? I �ve reread them, my work follows every rule. I �ll be happy to get an answer. Thank you. |

Hi!
Your calendar was reported as "non-ESL resource". It �s at the reporting page for several hours and although it �s being voted, no one commented it yet, so it �s difficult to know what the other moderators think about it.
EDIT: I�m not reporting or reviewing wss today, no time for that today, sorry! |

Why "non-ESL resource"? Or is it just a general phrase to remove the work. Before making th work I checked if there was smth like that on the site. I don �t mean to hurt anyone �s feelings, but there �re lots of 2010 calendars with only months in English. Is that ESL-resorse? IT �S JUST UNFAIR!

It �s not an ESL resource because there are no activities for the students.
It �s not a flash card either.
Just the wonders of the world and a calender.
By the way - This is how Iraq is spelled in English.
It�s a nice page - why didn�t you add activities - such as
What day is it, the 3rd Wednesday in November?
You can literally use it for teaching days, weeks, months and dates.

the way the calendar is it really is not an esl resource, sorry. I just had a look if there is any activity added, but it �s "only" a beautiful calendar. Last year there was a competition for the best looking calendar and I am sure this one would belong among favourites. But because the competition is not on this year and you uploaded it as a worksheet, it will be removed as non-esl resource, sorry.
You might find some calendars among wss here, but maybe they were uploaded before the rules changed or they might have been overlooked. And there are also calendars with some activities, what makes them an esl resource.
Hope you understand now why your calendar has been reported.

Sorry, Michaela,
we were writing at the same time. But is it possible to add any activities to a calendar? It �s absurd, isn �t it? I haven �t seen such yet. |

Alena, all the provided links belong to calendars that were part of the competition I wrote above. But it was last year, just look at the dates.
EDIT: Of course it is. What�s absurd about it? If you will have a look on wss about dates and days, you will find this kind of wss for sure. Sorry I cannot search for the links for you, but I have to leave for a dentist now(hope I�ll manage to get my daughter there  )

Yes, you can. But it would be shame. It �s a beautiful piece of work and you could get loads of points for it. Just add another page with eg. questions (What day is the 1st of Novemeber?..) or add list of festivals and ask when are they...
