Hi! Is a there a specific difference between "fast" and "quick"? Are they simply synonyms or are they used in different contexts! Thanks for your advice!

have a look here, but I wouldn �t expect a quick/fast solution...

well, they can be synonyms but still there is a slight difference: Fast refers to speed; sthg done at a high speed ex: "he was a fast runner" Quick refers to the amount of time sthg takes to be done;which is really short ex: "his response to the comment was quick" (it is sudden)
