My dear colleagues! Can you recommend me any coursebook which is appropriate for children at the age 8-9. I give extra lessons for few children. So far, we accomplished 2 parts of Bugs by Macmillan but I would rather change (they deal with Bugs in school as well). I use a lot of worksheets, additional aids, games etc.. Nevertheless, I do not have much experiance in teaching, I would like to base on the coursebook.
Can u recommend me some tittles?
Best regards, Domi

Hi Domi,
I can recomend you some coursebooks:
- Chatterbox - Chit Chat - English Together - Easy Street - Fairyland - Family and friends - Happy House - Happy Earth - Happy Street - Incredible English - New Sparks and - English Adventure (just like Frank said)
I used all of them (Bugs, too) and in my opinion you can mix some coursebooks together and choose the topics you need
Hope could help you. Renia

Up and away in English is the one I use for my students. It has 6 levels and it comes with a phonics book as well. Great stuff if you ask me.
You can check out some sample pages here:
Hope it ll be useful. |
