So guys as I told you in my last forum I m doing the TEFL course and I have got only t hours to finish a planning that I haven t even started because I have to teach a 40 minutes class talking about countries and modals permission and obligation but I don t have any idea how I can start it !
Perhaps you could find some articles about laws, customs and rules in different countries of the world - combine culture and grammar - e. g. which stuff is allowed in some countries and forbidden in others, when are you allowed to vote or drive, etc. what are people supposed to do/eat at certain holidays, etc.
I have chosen only (for example) 2 countries to discuss .... Keep it short, because 40 minutes is not very long!
For example, In China you CAN ... but you MAY not ... and you MUST ...etc.
In India you SHOULD not ... but in certain circumstances you COULD ... you CAN and you OUGHT TO ...etc.
You could contrast 2 countries: "In China you CAN ..., but in India you CAN NOT ..."
Now, students, what Rules and Regulations/attitudes/customs exist in your country about the INTERNET ... (or) BREAST FEEDING?What do the other students in the class think about that?" (Class involvement!)
I hope that this helps you.
I am sorry that it is so brief, but I (and you) have little free time!
